Body contouring refers to cosmetic procedures that improve the shape of your body by removing pockets of fat. Since these procedures are noninvasive, meaning they work from outside the body without an incision, they’re not intended to remove large amounts of fat. You’re a good candidate for body contouring if you’re close to your healthy body weight, yet you have areas of fat that you can’t lose.
SculpSure has gone through extensive testing to prove its effectiveness. As a result, it’s FDA-cleared to eliminate fat from the abdomen, flanks (sides of the abdomen), inner thighs, outer thighs, and back.
SculpSure uses advanced lasers operating at a controlled wavelength that safely passes through your skin, then is absorbed by fat cells. The laser energy heats fat cells to the precise temperature needed to destroy fat tissue. Then the cellular waste from damaged fat cells is eliminated by the body through its lymphatic system.
SculpSure comes equipped with four flat applicators that emit laser energy. Depending on the size of the area being treated, one or more of the applicators are securely placed on top of your skin. The built-in cooling system keeps your skin cool during treatment, but a numbing cream may also be used to ensure your comfort.
Since the laser cycles on and off to maintain the proper temperature, you feel warmth alternating with a cool sensation during the 25-minute procedure. When the session is finished, you can get back to your daily routine. Your skin may be slightly red for a short time, but you won’t need any downtime.
The process of eliminating the dead fat cells takes some time, so you won’t begin to see results for about six weeks. Optimal results appear around 12 weeks following treatment. About 24% of the treated fat cells are permanently eliminated after one session.*
Dr. C. recommends detox and cleanse therapy after a SculpSure procedure. Following her carefully designed detox and cleansing plan helps your body clear away waste and toxins, which promotes elimination of the destroyed fat tissue.
